About me
I was born and raised in Bremerton, Washington, and moved to Seattle for school and work. I love spending time with my wife and two energetic young children. I have been very lucky in my choice to become a pediatrician, because my passion for practicing medicine has only grown over the last several years. I enjoy making lasting bonds with patients and their families, and the support offered by Kaiser Permanente allows me to develop and sustain these relationships over the years.
About my practice
It's a fulfilling experience to see my patients grow up healthy, and to watch them recover from illnesses and injuries with my help. I want to be there to help them and their families through the good times and the hard times. I see myself as a cheerleader, a teacher, a counselor and a friend when needed. It's an important priority for me to provide excellent and personal care to the patients and families that I care for, and this organization has the resources that are essential for me to accomplish this. It also gives me peace of mind to know that my patients will get top-quality care no matter where they are seen within our system.
How I thrive
I enjoy walking, running, skiing and playing flag football. I have been on the same flag football team since 1999. I am a passionate Husky football fan. My children love to build forts, create pretend construction sites and cook pretend food in their play kitchen. My wife and I enjoy trying new restaurants. We spend as much time outdoors as we can. I have found in my life that keeping myself active and rested are two keys to staying positive and in good health. I try to exercise when I can, and sleep when given the chance. With young children, that does take some effort.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
