About me
I was born and raised in Seattle and I went to high school not far from the Capitol Hill clinic where I work. When I was young, my father was in a car accident and had many medical visits as a result --seeing the care he received inspired me to become a doctor. After completing undergrad studies at Johns Hopkins University, I volunteered in the Peace Corps in Mozambique. I attended medical school at the University of Washington. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because of their integrated care model. As a primary care physician, I feel supported by my specialty colleagues to provide comprehensive primary care.
About my practice
My areas of expertise include LGBTQ care, HIV management, and chronic disease management. I love the wide scope of my practice -- every day is different and exciting. I believe in treating the whole person and I truly enjoy the relationships I develop with my patients. My role is to provide the education my patients need to make informed decisions. I believe in a collaborative partnership with my patients for their health and well-being. I love the positive impact that I can have on people's lives.
How I thrive
I stay physically healthy by running, strength training, hiking, and doing yoga. I aim for 7-plus hours of sleep each night and I eat a balanced diet. Traveling to new places and enjoying food from various cultures keeps me motivated and inspired. Above all, I love to spend time with my loved ones.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
