Where I practice
About me
I grew up in rural Ohio. I also completed undergraduate studies and medical school in the Buckeye State. Subsequently, I relocated to Northern California completing my general surgery residency at U.C. Davis Medical Center in general surgery, followed by completion of a second residency in plastic surgery at University of Virginia. I've practiced plastic surgery in Oregon, Florida, and Virginia. I've now returned to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to extended family. I've been happily married for many years. I met my wife in college when I was 17. We have 4 amazing children that I'm very proud of. I love spending time with my children and my wife. We love to have fun and make each other laugh.
About my practice
I was an inquisitive child, and I loved doing things with my hands, including artistic and mechanical tasks. Plastic surgery combines my interests. Initially, I joined Kaiser Permanente after finishing up my second residency. After having had my own practice and then joining a large academic practice, I decided to return. The organization allows physicians to make clinical decisions based on what's right for patients. It also promotes a culture of well-being for patients and staff members alike, where everyone thrives. My approach to care incudes listening intently to patients and thoroughly examining them first. Subsequently, I educate them on what I believe can be achieved operatively. I achieve great satisfaction from thoroughly planning an operation, technically carrying it out, and seeing the immediate and long-term results. I aim to set realistic expectations to minimize unexpected concerns after procedures.
How I thrive
I enjoy daily exercise and training and outdoor activities with my family, including hiking, snowboarding, and skiing. I like watching my children play soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Since the age of 14, I've been focused on eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly. I also like to stay current on best practices related to my profession.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
