About me
I grew up in north Seattle which later became Shoreline. I played baseball growing up and went on to play at Edmonds Community College. As a first-year student my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and I remember the last home run ball he handed to me - which his oncologist helped make possible. This inspired me to become a physician so that I could make a positive impact on other people and families. I transferred to play baseball at San Jose State University and went to Tufts University where I completed a master's in biomedical sciences, then went to the University of Washington for medical school. I completed residency in pediatrics at UC Davis and a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital. My wife and I have a daughter, and a young-at-heart dog named after Happy Gilmore.
About my practice
As someone who absolutely loves physical activity and movement, my goal is to help my patients get back out doing what they love. I am a good listener; I spend time educating patients about their diagnoses and offer treatment options so that we can partner up to develop a treatment plan that best helps meet one's goals.
How I thrive
My family and I enjoy spending time outside, riding bikes, playing sports, and playing with our dog. I mountain bike as my main hobby and have dabbled in watchmaking and woodworking. I worked as a bike mechanic for several years and enjoy working on my bikes and friends' bikes, as well.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
