About me
I decided I was going to be a pediatrician when I was in kindergarten, and through the years that resolve never changed. Caring for children and families was a calling. I grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and find great joy in serving the community that I grew up in. I now live just miles from my childhood home with my husband and daughter, who both keep our home full of laughter and levity. I also enjoy advocating for children and families in our county and state. I am a Board Trustee for the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a Board Member of the Pierce County Birth to 25 Advisory and involved with several local community organizations. I joined Kaiser Permanente because of its innovative approach to high-quality health care; commitment to evidence-based medicine; and regional leadership in the arenas of health equity, population health, and prevention. I also appreciate working in an institution that is supportive of my professional interests both in and outside of clinical care.
About my practice
I love that prevention is at the heart of pediatric care because I believe that a healthy childhood is the foundation for healthy adulthood. I tend to take a less is more approach whenever possible, knowing that young bodies are both beautifully resilient and delicate. I always hope that food, diet, exercise, sleep, and healthy relationships can prevent future physical and mental illnesses, and I incorporate these discussions into visits whenever possible. Vaccines are another powerful tool in preventive health, and I encourage my patients to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention vaccine schedule. The health care guidance I suggest to patients is always consistent with what I would want for the children in my own family. I know that caring for someone else's child is an incredible honor, and I do not take the responsibility lightly.
How I thrive
My family fuels and nourishes my soul. My daughter ensures dance parties are a regular activity in our home, and my husband keeps us active. We are excited to travel to Canada again to visit our family. Exercise and eating well also help me feel physically and mentally healthy. I also enjoy reading and trying to master authentic Punjabi cooking.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
