Where I practice
About me
I grew up on Long Island, New York, and went to undergraduate school and medical school on the East Coast. I followed my husband to Seattle, and I have lived here since 1997. I met my husband when we were interns in New York City. We have two children.
About my practice
As long as I can remember, Ive wanted to be a physician. My greatest accomplishment is being able to practice pediatric ophthalmology. I joined Kaiser Permanente because I wanted to be able to practice alongside other fellowship-trained ophthalmologists. I believe I can deliver better care to my patients when I have the resources to consult with other specialists in my field. I strive to treat my patients as I would treat my own children. As a pediatric ophthalmologist, I understand that it can be more difficult for parents to make medical decisions for their children than themselves. I try to give parents all the options available and encourage them to get involved as much as possible in the decision making process. My interests are in childrens eye health. I love the versatility in practicing ophthalmology. It allows me to spend time seeing patients in the clinic, as well performing surgical procedures in the operating room. It is also a field in which technology is evolving rapidly.
How I thrive
My parents were born and raised in Italy. As a child, I spent many memorable summers in central Italy with my grandparents and extended family. In the past few years, my children have become old enough to travel to Europe. As a family, we have been spending a few weeks each summer exploring Europe and mostly Italy. In addition to traveling, I enjoy walking, Pilates, weight training, cooking, and taking dance classes. I stay mentally and physically active by working out whenever I have time.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
