About me
I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. But after living in the Puget Sound area for 12 years, I'm proud to call Washington state my home. I'm happily married to my wife, and we have many nieces and nephews that we love to spend time with. Growing up, I was fascinated with science and the physiology of the body, which drew me to medicine. I also really wanted to help people for a living. Being a doctor has brought me rewards better than I ever imagined. I'm deeply humbled by the privilege to positively impact the health of my patients. Being a sound clinician is at the core of everything we do as physicians. I'm the first physician in the United States to earn a certificate of Total Worker Health (TWH). The TWH approach is to improve the well-being of the U.S. workforce by protecting their safety, health, and productivity. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because I wanted to be a part of a team of providers and staff that excel in their fields.
About my practice
My approach is to listen first so that I can understand a patient's concerns and goals. Then, I work with patients to alleviate their concerns, reach their goals, return them to health, and help them get back to work. It's a collaborative process, and communication is key. I want to make sure that all the questions and concerns my patients have are addressed. I love the diversity of medicine; I'm interested in all worker populations. There's always an opportunity to learn more and grow in order to improve the health of a single patient or even an entire population. I'm always positively engaged and never bored.
How I thrive
I stay physically and mentally healthy through staying engaged and active. I enjoy moderate aerobic exercise like walking, bike riding, and yoga. In the evenings, I like to wind down by reading. On the weekends, I like to connect with family and friends. I also volunteer as much as I can to assist vulnerable communities.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
