About me
I was born in the Midwest but lived in many different parts of the country growing up, including Indiana, Kansas, Florida, and Michigan. I consider Michigan home, but I'm excited to be here in the Pacific Northwest. My love of science led me to pursue medicine. Having the opportunity to improve a person's life for the better is very rewarding. I'm the first person in my family to attend and graduate college, as well as the first to be a doctor. I consider this to be a great privilege. I feel very honored every day to help people through some of the most important and challenging times in their lives. Joining Kaiser Permanente has given me the opportunity to continue to grow as a physician and collaborate with a team of excellent providers and staff. I feel very supported in my position, which lets me focus on my true passion -- the care of my patients.
About my practice
I believe in shared decision-making. I want to provide my patients with the most up-to-date information and treatment options and help them decide what's best for them. It's very important to me to treat each patient the way I would want myself or my family to be treated. My areas of expertise include women's health, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, birth control management, cervical pathology management, and high-risk obstetrics. I feel very privileged to help patients through their health challenges. I really enjoy being a part of my patients' most precious moments. I especially love ob-gyn because of its versatility and focus on women.
How I thrive
I stay mentally and physically healthy by trying to live my life in balance. I enjoy running and hiking for physical fitness. I like reading and learning about new topics to keep myself mentally strong. I love spending time with family including the family dogs. Traveling and exploring the outdoors keeps me motivated and inspired.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
