About me
I was born in India and graduated from medical school there. I moved to the United States to pursue my dream of becoming a physician, specializing in infectious disease, a medical specialty for which there was no training available there. My world revolves around my four-year-old child who has special needs. She is the happiest person I know, and she has taught me how to find joy in the simple things, and also how much we take for granted every day. She keeps me grounded, humble, and grateful. I speak fluent English and Hindi.
About my practice
Watching both of my parents work as physicians, I naturally gravitated toward medicine growing up. I was drawn to the medical specialty of infectious disease from personal experience. As a child, I was frequently ill, but I had no access to an infectious disease physician because that specialty was not available in India. Kaiser Permanente's approach to care aligns with my ideals of providing evidence-based patient care, while also keeping patient goals at the forefront. The infectious disease team has a solid reputation in the community. My colleagues are compassionate and intelligent, and they truly want to help people. Helping patients during stressful times is what I enjoy about being a physician. The ability to comfort them when they are most vulnerable is a privilege that I'm grateful for every day. I am especially interested in serving vulnerable communities and HIV Care.
How I thrive
I enjoy painting, dancing, photography, reading, and traveling. I stay mentally and physically healthy by meditating, exercising with workout videos at home, and spending quality time with my daughter, taking her on day trips or traveling to various cities.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
