About me
I split my childhood between Tucson, Santa Fe, and Blacksburg, Virginia. In college, I majored in English literature and biology. I lived in Oxford for a year studying English, where I rowed in a crew. I was looking for a career that could combine the humanitarian focus of literature with science. I'm so happy that I chose medicine -- it's truly rewarding to apply scientific knowledge to my patients' problems. It's even more rewarding to form relationships with them as people. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente for its integrated system of care. I appreciate that I can communicate easily with my patients' care team, and that we can all be on the same page. I'm excited to be starting a new chapter in Seattle.
About my practice
I want to give my patients the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their skin. Together, we create a skin treatment plan that fits in with their lives and goals. At the end of the day, I try to reflect on all the good moments -- the interesting people that I meet and the ways I was hopefully able to help them. These are the things that make medicine such an enjoyable field.
How I thrive
I try to do at least a little physical activity every day. I also like to cook at home as much as possible. I love to try new recipes from different cuisines -- Singaporean dishes are my current favorite. Getting outside also helps me recharge, from walking in my neighborhood in the evenings to hiking around Seattle on the weekends.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
