About me
I was born and raised in Boston. I spent most of my life in New England but moved to the Pacific Northwest shortly after my medical residency. I have since made the PNW my new home. I've grown to love Seattle, especially having met my future husband here. I also have two cats that came with me from New England.
About my practice
I decided to go into family medicine because of its focus on community health and for the opportunity to create long-term relationships with my patients and help them improve their overall well being. I chose to practice at Kaiser Permanente for its patient-centered approach to care. As a family medicine physician, I aim to treat everyone with kindness and to be open and engaged in conversations with my patients. I want them to feel comfortable and safe so that we can work together on achieving their health goals. I am especially interested in women's health and adolescent medicine. I enjoy caring for families over a long period time, treating diseases, but also helping to prevent them. In essence, I have the opportunity to provide the full spectrum of holistic and compassionate care.
How I thrive
I enjoy cooking healthy meals with my family, jewelry making, knitting and working on home improvement projects, though it's never as easy as it looks on TV. I enjoy traveling with my family. We like trying new foods and trying to re-create recipes in our own kitchen. A good balance of work, family time and quiet time helps me stay healthy. I also enjoy reading books and attempting to be a crafts guru.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
