About me
I was born in Roseburg, Oregon. I have lived in several rural towns in Oregon, but consider Seattle my home. I am happily married and have two incredible daughters. I chose to become a doctor because it has allowed me to be there for people when they need someone most. Being able to serve as a doctor for others has been a great privilege. I am an executive board member for the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center and have great passion to care for victims of sexual violence as well as to prevent future sexual assault in our community.
About my practice
I work here because I want to help build, practice and teach in a healthcare organization that provides equitable and just care for all patients. I seek to empower my patients to be healthy through listening to their perspectives and sharing my own, so they can make the decisions that are right for them. My specialties include maternity care, pediatrics, care for the LGBTQ community and geriatrics. I love the opportunity to get to know my patients throughout their lives, regardless of age or medical problem; to help them in the clinic, hospital or home, and to be there for them when they are in need of medical help.
How I thrive
My hobbies include carpentry, cycling and home remodeling. My family's goal is to live sustainably in an urban setting and we have tried to bring our previous rural life into Seattle, which has included chickens, gardening and connecting with our neighbors. I stay healthy and fulfilled by eating good food made at home, exercising regularly, spending lots of time with my wife and kids, having fun, and staying passionate and curious about ways to improve our community.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
