About me
I grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, but have lived in the U.S. since 2012. I trained, lived, and worked in Detroit. I returned to the Northwest in 2022 and consider it to be my home. I'm happily married to the love of my life, and we are blessed with a beautiful daughter. My love of science and learning how the body works led me to health care. I enjoy being able to use my knowledge to make a positive change in the lives of others. During my final year of residency, I was chosen to be chief resident and, after graduation, worked in a leadership role as a staff surgical podiatrist and assistant residency director at Ascension St. John Hospital. I have also lectured for the Canadian Podiatric Medical Association. I'm involved in exam question writing for the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because of their excellent clinicians and staff and their collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
About my practice
I have a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. This can involve conditions such as bunion, hammertoe, and flatfoot. I find it reassuring that with a small incision, large bunions and deformity can be treated and corrected. This helps improve recovery and reduce scar size. My other areas of expertise include foot and ankle reconstruction and complex deformities, such as flatfoot, high-arched feet, and diabetic foot deformity. I specialize in treating ankle arthritis and hindfoot deformity. To treat these conditions, I offer surgical options such as ankle fusions and total ankle replacements. I'm also proficient with foot and ankle trauma. I strive to actively listen to my patients' questions and concerns with patience and respect. Understanding my patients' needs helps me to develop evidence-based treatment plans that are unique to each person's concerns and goals. It's a privilege to use my knowledge and surgical skills to have a positive impact on my patients' lives.
How I thrive
I'm an avid runner and have done many races, including full and half marathons and 10K races. I enjoy rock climbing and bouldering, especially with my daughter. I love exploring the outdoors through hiking and cycling. Taking road trips and traveling with my family keep me motivated and inspired.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
