About me
I grew up in Illinois. I loved traveling, which is why I attended medical school in South Carolina. I continued my journey to Washington state for residency. Now graduated, I am happy to call Tacoma, my home. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a beautiful daughter named Violet. We also recently got a wild Australian Shepherd named Penny who keeps us on our toes!
About my practice
I have always wanted to help people, which is why I became a clinician. Joining Kaiser Permanente allows me to continue to practice in the city that I love in an excellent team atmosphere. I have experienced this fantastic health care first hand as a patient and was happy to join as a physician. Patient-centered care is evident in everything that the organization does. I am able to communicate quickly with specialists and provide quality and evidence-based care to my patients. It's very important for me to listen and understand every patient, in order to create a trusting relationship. All stories are important stories, and no two patients are the same. I treat my patients with the care that I would want for my own family. Caring for my patients and their families throughout their lives is what I enjoy most about being a clinician.
How I thrive
I enjoy hiking, cycling, strength training, baking, reading true crime novels, and walking my dog. I love the outdoors and exploring new places, but my favorite place in the world is Olympic National Park, particularly the Hurricane Hill hike. It's so beautiful, I could stay there for hours. Balance is everything. Mental health is as important as physical health.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
