About me
I was born and raised in Seattle and graduated from nearby Garfield High School. I studied medical anthropology at Princeton University where I also competed on the women's crew team. After college, I moved to Boston to conduct pediatric research before returning home to attend medical school at the University of Washington. I completed my residency at Kaiser Permanente-Washington. I live in Columbia City with my husband, Sam, and our dog, Tucker.
About my practice
I came to Washington Permanente Medical Group for the opportunity to provide patients coordinated care. Growing up, I watched my father, also a family medicine doctor, develop strong bonds with his patients and this inspired me to follow in his footsteps. I appreciate the Kaiser model of care delivery, which puts the patient at the center of all our efforts. As a family medicine provider, I enjoy getting to know my patients of all ages and working with other medical specialists involved in their care. Working with patients over time to learn about their journeys and understanding their future goals is a major source of fulfillment.
How I thrive
I feel best when I start my day running along Lake Washington with my husband and dog. I recharge spending time with my immediate family who live locally and my in-laws who live on the Olympic Peninsula. Around home, I enjoy cooking and sharing meals with friends. Living in South Seattle, I like taking neighborhood walks and perusing our local library for new books.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
