About me
I was born and raised in Bremerton, Washington. I attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Anthropology with a minor in History. I attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine on a scholarship through the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Navy. I was commissioned as an Ensign in October of 2012 and completed my medical school training as a reservist. While in medical school, I met my future wife Cassedy who was also training to become a physician. We were married in 2018. After graduating medical school, I was promoted to Lieutenant on active-duty service and completed my residency in Psychiatry at Naval Medical Center San Diego. After residency I moved back to Bremerton with the Navy to complete my four-year contract as a Navy psychiatrist. In 2021 we had our son, Oliver. I was honorably separated from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander after 8 years of service in 2024.
About my practice
I strive to view all patients holistically, considering the mind, body, and spirit of every patient I work with. I combine my clinical knowledge with the individual experiences of each patient to craft an appropriate and effective individualized treatment plan.
How I thrive
I exercise physical health with weight training, walking, hiking, and downhill skiing. I practice mental health through gardening, appreciation of music and art, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Spiritually I find spending time in nature, listening to music, and in communion with others to be wonderful spiritual outlets.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
