Where I practice
About me
I am a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist and Internal Medicine. I consider Vancouver, British Columbia, my hometown. I’m married, and we have two beautiful children. I was inspired to pursue a career in oncology after my beloved uncle, a dedicated physician himself, passed away from cancer.
Biography
With over two decades of experience in Medical Oncology and Hematology, I bring a deep commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in Seattle in 2012, I held a variety of roles in both hospital-based and private practice oncology settings.
For 7 years, I served as the Medical Director of the Cancer Center and Blood Disorder program in Lewiston, Maine, were I helped lean and shape oncology services for the community. Following that, I practice oncology I hematology in Northern California, gaining further insight into the unique challenges of private practice. Ultimately, my passion for delivering high quality care within an integrated, multidisciplinary framework led me to Kaiser Permanente. At KP, I continue to focus on personalized, evidence-based treatment while collaborating closely with a team of specialists to support the whole patient-medically an emotionally- throughout their cancer journey.
About my practice
I care for individuals with all types of cancers and benign hematologic conditions. My approach centers on providing personalized treatment, building trust, and maintaining open communication. I strive to ensure that each care plan reflects the patient’s goals, values, and needs.
Cancer Subspecialty Focus
My clinical expertise includes Breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, Gynecological malignancies, lung, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, cutaneous malignancies, and thyroid and endocrine tumors. I also manage complex hematologic disorders such as anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders and well as blood malignancies such as leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
I work closely with colleagues across specialties to develop coordinated, comprehensive care plans. Participation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case reviews supports optimal treatment strategies, particularly for complex and rare cancers.
Professional Affiliations
I am a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), which keeps me engaged with the latest developments in cancer care, research, and education.
How I thrive
I enjoy staying active through tennis, skiing, traveling and a variety of outdoor activities. I advocate for the integration of proper nutrition and physical wellness into cancer care and aim to model these principles through my own lifestyle. One of my favorite places to visit is the scenic coastline of Maine.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
