About me
I was born in the Mojave Desert, on the outskirts of Los Angeles. I went to college in Los Angeles and completed graduate school in San Diego. Most recently, I lived in Wenatchee, Washington, where I completed my training for licensure. Like all humans, I have experienced suffering, and I've always wanted to help reduce the suffering of others. That desire, along with my love for research and working toward ending systemic injustices, led me to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. I'm happily married to the love of my life and high school sweetheart. We have no human children, but we have a dog whom we love with our whole hearts. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because they value holistic care and the coordination of care between mental health and medical providers, which ensures that patients can receive the best possible care.
About my practice
My areas of expertise include health psychology, chronic illness/pain management, diabetes, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychological assessment, LGBTQ care, reducing health disparities between minority populations, eating disorders, and PTSD. I enjoy being involved in researching new ways to manage symptoms. I believe that each person is the expert in their own experiences. I listen to everything my patients say, and we work together to reach a diagnosis and treatment plan that aligns with their goals. I genuinely care about my patients, and I do everything in my power to help them overcome their obstacles, while respecting their autonomy. Mental health symptoms can feel overwhelming, so I strive to help my patients continue living a life that's meaningful for them, while working to reduce the impact of their symptoms. Seeing my patients learn how to renew a sense of control over their lives and symptoms is incredibly rewarding.
How I thrive
I love being outdoors and feeling more connected to nature -- hiking, camping, and swimming are my favorite outdoor activities. I'm a huge nerd, so reading is one of my favorite pastimes. Baking and doing arts and crafts keeps me motivated and inspired. I enjoy traveling with my spouse.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
