Where I practice
Hello and welcome to my Web page. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1992. I’m proud to be a member of such an outstanding psychiatry department.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am married and have a son. I chose to become a doctor after watching my pediatrician when I was a child. I fell in love with psychiatry during medical school.
About my practice
My practice is focused primarily on the medical diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions of children and adolescents. I also work with some adult members. I am part of a treatment team that is designed to meet all aspects of your mental health care. Your first visit in the psychiatry department will be with a licensed therapist who will work with you to determine the appropriate treatment plan to meet your needs. As a psychiatrist, I will use the information obtained by your therapist to assist them in their medical evaluation of you. In addition to patient care, I have been an active member of Baldwin Park Medical Center’s ethics committee. I’m also a facilitator at Baldwin Park Medical Center for the first Schwartz Rounds, which is a program to nurture and encourage compassionate medical care. I continue to attend training sessions to improve in my role as a facilitator.
How I thrive
I employ the stress reduction techniques that we teach in our department. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and training for marathons. I am active in my community, and I have raised money for research in breast cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and mental illness.
