Where I practice
Hello! Welcome to my Web page. I would like to introduce you to my pediatric practice. I have the pleasure of working with wonderful colleagues and a dedicated staff. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your child.
I am a native Southern Californian. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley. My parents are from Argentina. They arrived in the United States in 1965 not knowing any English. Through their constant support and dedication to our family, they encouraged my brother and I to achieve our educational goals. Since high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a pediatrician. After I finished medical school at USC, I decided I wanted to practice medicine in San Diego. I moved in 1995 to begin my pediatric residency at UC San Diego.
About my practice
I chose to become a pediatrician because I enjoy teaching parents and children how to live healthy lives. The parents are the most important role models for their children, so I start by informing them about preventive care. I also work in the neonatal intensive care unit. Seeing the bond between mother and child from the beginning is amazing. I like spending time with new parents, listening and responding to their needs.
How I thrive
I met my husband in a running club in 2002. I enjoy exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. I’ve completed five full marathons and have run more than 20 half marathons. I am part of a Kaiser Permanente bike/spinning team for the Challenged Athletes Foundation every year. I became a 200-hour certified yoga instructor in 2013. I enjoy traveling to all parts of the world. I believe that exercise, nutritious eating habits, and vacation time is the right equation for a balanced life. It keeps your mind and body healthy.
