A new choice for high-quality care

Kaiser Permanente and Renown Health have teamed up to improve health care and coverage in northern Nevada.

This new relationship combines Renown Health’s trusted local roots with Kaiser Permanente’s national leadership in integrated, value-based care — delivering a seamless experience designed around you and your family. With more ways to see doctors and specialists, it’s easy to get the care you need, when you need it.

Hometown Health — the health plan previously owned by Renown Health — will become Kaiser Permanente Nevada. Renown Health will continue as an independent, nonprofit health system.

More locations to better serve you

The Kaiser Permanente Del Monte Medical Offices in Reno are now open — and current Hometown Health members can get care here. We’re also scheduled to open the Kaiser Permanente Ion Medical Offices in Sparks this summer, with the Kaiser Permanente Fifth Street Medical Offices in Reno scheduled to open in 2027.

These state-of-the-art medical offices will offer primary care, on-site pharmacy, lab services, and imaging — so you can take care of many of your health needs in one convenient place.

More medical offices mean more access to care in Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, Storey, and Washoe counties, as well as in the Nevada portions of the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Connected care designed for you

With Kaiser Permanente, you get care built to seamlessly support your health. Your doctors, hospitals, and health plan work together — coordinating your care at every step. That makes managing your health easy and convenient.

Starting in 2027, members enrolled in Kaiser Permanente coverage will have access to coordinated care through Kaiser Permanente and Renown Health — including primary care, specialty care, pharmacies, and labs.

Members can continue to access care just as they do today. For now, there are no immediate changes to coverage, care teams, or benefits for current Hometown Health members.

Current Hometown Health members can also get care at the new Kaiser Permanente facilities opening this year in northern Nevada. They can enroll in Kaiser Permanente coverage during this year’s open enrollment period to continue experiencing Kaiser Permanente’s connected care in 2027.

Kaiser Permanente will offer new health plan options for northern Nevada residents, with open enrollment beginning in fall 2026 for coverage starting in 2027.

We’ll continue updating this page as more information and details become available.
