Important information for members looking for the following:

 

Acupuncture services in Yakima County for the following networks:

  • Core
  • Boeing HMO Network
  • Options

Kaiser Permanente Washington currently does not have in-network acupuncture providers within its 30-mile travel standard for all members residing in Yakima County.

If these services are not available from an in-network provider, you may be able to receive benefits for services provided by an out-of-network provider at applicable in-network deductible and cost shares (copays or coinsurance).

Massage therapy services in Columbia County for the following networks:

  • Boeing HMO Network
  • Options
  • Access PPO

Kaiser Permanente Washington currently does not have in-network massage therapy providers within its 30-mile travel standard for all members residing in Columbia County.

If these services are not available from an in-network provider, you may be able to receive benefits for services provided by an out-of-network provider at applicable in-network deductible and cost shares (copays or coinsurance).

Kaiser Permanente Washington currently does not have in-network naturopathy providers within its 40-mile travel standard for all members residing in Columbia and Yakima counties, nor on Vashon Island in King County.

If these services are not available from an in-network provider, you may be able to receive benefits for services provided by an out-of-network provider at applicable in-network deductible and cost shares (copays or coinsurance).

Oral and maxillofacial surgery services in Benton, Columbia, Franklin, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Skagit, Spokane, Walla Walla, Whitman, and Yakima counties for the following networks:

Oral and maxillofacial surgery services in Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Skagit, Spokane, and Whitman, counties for the following network:

Oral and maxillofacial surgery services in Kitsap and Spokane counties for the following networks:

  • Connect
  • Summit PPO

Kaiser Permanente Washington currently does not have in-network oral and maxillofacial surgery providers within its 60-mile travel standard for all members residing in Benton, Columbia, Franklin, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Skagit, Spokane, Walla Walla, Whitman, and Yakima counties. Check your evidence of coverage (EOC) to see which oral and maxillofacial surgery services can be covered under your medical benefitst. Kaiser Permanente Washington’s medical director will determine whether the care or treatment required is within the category of oral surgery or dental services.

If these services are not available from an in-network provider, you may be able to receive benefits for services provided by an out-of-network provider at applicable in-network deductible and cost shares (copays or coinsurance).

Behavioral health emergency services in Island, Mason, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Spokane, Thurston, and Whatcom counties for the following networks:

Behavioral health emergency services in Pierce, Snohomish, Spokane, and Thurston counties for the following networks:

  • SoundChoice
  • Connect
  • Summit PPO

Kaiser Permanente Washington currently does not have in-network mobile rapid response crisis team services providers in Island, Mason, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Spokane, Thurston, and Whatcom counties. There may also be a limited number of crisis stabilization unit, evaluation and treatment center, and medically managed or medically monitored withdrawal management (detox) facilities within the state’s 30-minute travel standard for some members residing in these counties. However, providers of behavioral health emergency services are considered in-network when accessed through calls to 911 or 988 or other crisis triage sources, and therefore there is no need to contact Customer Service to obtain authorization for these services.

 

Hospital-based intensivist physicians in Spokane County for all networks:

Kaiser Permanente Washington currently does not have an in-network hospital-based intensivist physician group in Spokane County. However, providers of these services are considered in-network when seen during an authorized inpatient hospital stay and therefore there is no need to contact Customer Service to obtain authorization for these services.
