Spokane wildfires: Member update

We're here to help

We recognize wildfires can create uncertainty and stress. Our goal is to ensure you have access to the care, prescriptions, and support you need.

If you can't make your appointment

You have options:

Need medication?

  • We have 4 Kaiser Permanente pharmacies open in Spokane. Opening hours vary.
  • With Kaiser Permanente prescription home delivery, you can get up to a 3-month supply at your permanent or temporary address, typically within 2-3 days. Order online or contact us Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling 1-800-245-7979 (TTY 771).

If you aren’t near a Kaiser Permanente pharmacy

  • If you’ve been affected by wildfires and aren’t near a Kaiser Permanente pharmacy, you can fill your prescription at a local retail pharmacy. You may need to submit a receipt for reimbursement.

Need a replacement medical device?

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.

If you need to replace a medical device that was lost or is inaccessible because of wildfires or evacuation orders, the fastest option is to contact your durable medical equipment (DME) supplier directly.

Common suppliers include:

  • AdaptHealth (oxygen equipment, CPAP)
  • Byram Healthcare (diabetes supplies)
  • KCI Solventum (wound VAC supplies and support)

Getting glasses or contact lenses

Have an urgent need to replace eyeglasses or contact lenses? We can help.

Medical billing and payment concerns

Members that have been affected by the Washington wildfires and are experiencing financial hardship may contact Patient Financial Services at 800-442-4014 to request a Disaster Medical Financial Assistance (MFA) review.

Patients can also apply online at Medical Financial Assistance | Kaiser Permanente. You may qualify for expedited support through our disaster relief process if residing or experienced loss of work in the disaster zone/ZIP codes.

Community resources and support

Have you been affected by the Washington wildfires and need help with food, financial assistance, childcare, housing, transportation, or other basic needs? The Kaiser Permanente Community Support Hub can help you identify and connect with available community resources.

If you or someone you know needs resources for essentials like food and finances, we may be able to help. Call 877-584-4714 (TTY 711), Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., or search online at kp.org/communityresources.
