I attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham and did my internship and residency in family medicine at the Fort Collins Family Medicine Center in Colorado.
I am board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. In 2010 I joined the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, where I specialize in hospital medicine.
I strive to maintain a balance of body, mind, and spirit through a practice of yoga and meditation and a connection to the land. I enjoy growing food in my garden and collecting the bounty of our ocean by fishing and free diving. I also try to pass these values on to my two boys by teaching them a love for our land and its people and culture.
