About Me

For over 30 years I have been a partner of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. I practice consultative cardiology and also am heavily involved in many of the business activities of our organization.

Biography

I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania. After attending the Johns Hopkins University and Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, I came to Southern California. I was a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force. I have three married children and three grandchildren. I am an avid traveler and photographer. I also write in various genres.

About my practice

I am the chief of cardiology at the West Los Angeles Medical Offices and I am also involved regionally and nationally in cardiology issues for Kaiser Permanente. I practice consultative cardiology at West Los Angeles. I have a strong preventive medicine proclivity and strongly encourage my patients to eat properly, exercise, not smoke, and live a healthful lifestyle.

How I thrive

I endeavor to thrive through regular walking, either with my dog and on a treadmill. I follow a very low fat, low carbohydrate diet, and I try to be active in many different mental disciplines.
