About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! Thank you for taking time to get to know me.

Biography

I was born in Louisiana and raised in Las Vegas. I pursued a career in medicine from a young age and chose UC San Diego for college because of my love of the beach and the sun. I was fortunate to continue enjoying Southern California during medical school and my pediatric residency here in San Diego. I live with my husband and our cute little lovebird named Lily who can talk and likes getting herself into trouble. We enjoy the outdoors and cooking together.

About my practice

As a pediatric hospitalist my practice involves caring for children who have been admitted to the hospital, as well as newborn infants. Inpatient care of children has been my passion since I first decided on pediatrics as a speciality. You may also see me in different pediatric clinics during the day, and at after hours care in the evening. I believe a thorough history and physical exam is key to providing quality medical care, and can help avoid unnecessary testing and medications. I also prioritize providing families with education about what their child is experiencing. I continually grow my own education by discussing cases with colleagues and reviewing research in pediatrics.

How I thrive

Being active and outdoors has always been a large part of my life. My favorite activities are hiking, running, snowboarding, and dance classes. In the last few years I have enjoyed learning how to sew. I always love a challenge whether it is creating a new piece of art, sewing a new dress, or exploring a new sport. I thrive by staying active, traveling, and experiencing new activities.
