I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. I love all the outdoor activities Colorado offers and have not had the desire to move away! I have always loved medicine since I was a child. I originally wanted to be a veterinarian like my mother but I love interacting with people. I now have a dog named Abby to fill my love for animals. In high school, I decided I wanted to be a nurse practitioner. My first love in medicine was pediatrics. I worked in that department as a registered nurse after receiving my bachelor of science in nursing from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I completed graduate school in 2011 at Regis University as a family nurse practitioner.
I am committed to and enjoy establishing a great relationship with all patients and work together as a team in providing the best care. As a family nurse practitioner, I’m able to see a broad range of ages and diagnoses. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of a patient's health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer my patient's questions.
I received great experiences in a diverse family practice and hospital setting working in rural Yuma, Colorado before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2013. The rural setting allowed me to acquire a large range of skills including but not limited to minor trauma, well exams, preventative healthcare, treating acute and chronic illnesses, and pediatric care. I still love my original specialty area in medicine, pediatrics, and have grown to love women's health and acute minor trauma.
I enjoy exercise, spending time with my family and friends, travel, and playing the piano. I've played the piano since I was five years old and probably love it more than ever now. My favorite activities are playing soccer, skiing, and hiking.
