About Me

I was born in Edenton, N.C. I chose to practice medicine because I enjoy the rich rewards you receive when you help people not only get better, but achieve wellness. I also enjoy medicine because I love the challenge of problem-solving and the overall science of medicine.

About my practice

We see members suffering from a gamut of infectious diseases. Our primary member population is HIV/AIDS, but all types of infectious diseases are seen in the office and in the hospital by our practitioners.Infectious disease is at times a puzzle. It takes time and diligence to put all the pieces together. Our department works together as a team and strives to never leave a puzzle incomplete. I believe that it is essential to keep up-to-date with new treatment options and diagnostic tools. I also believe that there should be respect, care and compassion shown to each member who walks in our office or we visit in the hospital.

How I thrive

I believe in a healthy lifestyle that encompasses mind, body and spirit. I workout at a CrossFit® facility in Atlanta three to four times each week. I also try to eat well-balanced meals and be a spiritual person. In my free time, I enjoy watching sports and am a huge sports fan! I am a devoted follower of the New York Knicks, Yankees and Giants. I am also an avid reader, especially of non-fiction books.
