About Me

After earning my medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine, I completed my internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. I am board certified in family practice and I have worked for Kaiser Permanente since 1999. I believe that individuals should be the primary decision-maker for their own health, while I can serve as their medical advisor. My wife and I have three young-adult children.

About my practice

As a family physician, my focus is caring for the well-being of the whole person while always considering their family's medical history. I encourage my patients to be knowledgeable about their medical and health conditions and any medications they take. I try counseling my patients to decrease or discontinue any long-term opioid medicines due to safety risks.

How I thrive

I am an avid bike commuter. My leisure activities include recreational and long-distance bicycling, downhill and backcountry skiing, as well as fiction and nonfiction reading. Over the years I’ve found that healthy eating and exercise can serve as prevention or cure for just about everything!
