About Me
I was born and raised in Farmington, New Mexico, and went to medical school at the University of New Mexico. I came to Denver in 1992 to do my residency at Saint Joseph Hospital and I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1997. I was attracted to Kaiser Permanente because it allows me to concentrate on my patients and not to worry about running a business. Kaiser Permanente keeps the focus on good patient care and our emphasis on prevention, wellness and integration makes it a real team effort.
About my practice
Having had surgery myself, I know what it feels like to place your trust (and body) in someone else's hands. I try to remain mindful of seeing every patient as a whole person, and not just as a body part that needs to be fixed or removed. My goal is the provide the most appropriate care for you and your needs. I listen to understand your questions and concerns, and I coordinate your care with the physicians, pharmacists and others on your care team. I love all aspects of general surgery, but have specific interests in breast cancer and advanced laparoscopic procedures.
How I thrive
I enjoy an active Boulder lifestyle with my wife and two sons. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading and many outdoor activities with my family and friends.
