About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. My name is Amgad Hanna and it is my privilege to introduce myself to you.

Biography

I was born and raised in Egypt. My motivation to become a doctor came from my desire to help others. After finishing an anesthesiology residency and practicing anesthesia in Ain Shams University in Egypt, I decided to move to the United States for further training. I completed my anesthesia residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and became interested in anesthesia for children. Before joining the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, I moved to warm Southern California to complete my fellowship in pediatric anesthesia at Loma Linda University, then worked for 7 years as an Assistant Professor, helping children as well as adults through surgery.

About my practice

I understand that having surgery for yourself or for your child can be stressful. I am proud to be a member of a dedicated, highly reliable surgical team consisting of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, certified anesthesia technologists, operating room nurses, and scrub techs. My goal is to treat members that I care for with the same concern that I would want for myself and my family. Our team goal is to provide you with a safe experience and compassionate care.

How I thrive

I strongly believe in maintaining a balanced lifestyle and the health of the body, mind, and spirit. I am blessed with my wife and with my 4 children (2 girls and 2 boys), and I like to spend time with them and enjoy the great weather in Southern California. While not working, I keep myself active with exercise and participate in community activities.
