About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am a family practice physician who has been practicing for more than 20 years. I have worked on and off with Kaiser Permanente in San Diego since 1989.

Biography

I grew up in Northern California. I went to UCLA for a psychobiology degree and earned my medical degree in Chicago. I completed my residency training in family medicine at UC San Diego and then worked for two years at Kaiser Permanente. After that, my family traveled around the world with my husband, a Navy psychiatrist, from Oakland to Naples, Italy, back to San Diego, and then to Charleston, S.C. I was an active duty Navy physician who was department head of family practice while in Italy. We are now in San Diego to stay, near extended family, and the kids are away at college.

About my practice

Empowering my patients to take control of their health is a conscious effort of my practice. I enjoy partnering with my patients so that together we take care of their medical needs.

I am a provider that is knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of members with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

How I thrive

I stay healthy by spending time with family and friends, getting enough sleep, and practicing balance and moderation in various aspects of my life. I enjoy hiking, gourmet cooking, traveling, and reading novels, especially romances!
