About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel blessed to be here, working at Kaiser Permanente with my wonderful colleagues and members—some of whom I’ve come to know well over the years. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I was born in Saigon, South Vietnam. I came here in 1976 and was sponsored by a wonderful American family in a small town in Wisconsin. It was cold and I knew little English then, but I was glad to have a place to call home and to be reunited with my family, who’d left Vietnam before me. In this country, I single-mindedly pursued my dream of being a medical doctor and was very fortunate to achieve that dream in 1984. During medical school, I visited Southern California and I loved the climate and the people. I moved here in 1987 and have been working at Kaiser Permanente since 1990.

About my practice

My specialty is general cardiology and, in my practice, I stress the value of a healthy lifestyle and preventive care as the foundation for preserving cardiovascular health. I’m also here to provide my members with high-quality evaluations and treatments, and to listen to their specific concerns. I look at my practice as a partnership with my members. They know I’m here for them, and that they can count on me to care of their cardiovascular health.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is also very important to me, and I try to live the same lifestyle I recommend for my members. I volunteer for the Disney Half Marathon presented by Kaiser Permanente. I also enjoy my family time, and make sure I have quiet time for reading and reflection.
