About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I feel very lucky to work at Kaiser Permanente because I have the opportunity to care for wonderful members and collaborate with exceptional colleagues. If you need my services, I am committed to providing you with the highest quality surgical care.
Biography
I was raised in Madison, Wisconsin, where I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin. I was a staff surgeon from 1991 to 1996 with Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. I also maintained a clinical assistant professorship at UC San Francisco during that time. My family and I moved back to Los Angeles in 1996. I began practicing at Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center and then joined the West Los Angeles Medical Center in 1997. Additionally, I am a clinical assistant professor at the USC Department of Surgery. In 2012, I began serving as the medical director of operations for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.
About my practice
I am a board certified surgeon. I also am a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and belong to the California Medical Association and the Los Angeles Surgical Society. My main interest and area of expertise in surgery is endocrine surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. As medical director of operations, I am proud to oversee the delivery of excellent care that we provide each and every day to our members throughout Southern California. I enjoy striving to continually improve the care and service you receive.
How I thrive
My family life is my highest priority outside of work. I love to exercise, and stay active by spinning, running, and hiking. I also try to set aside time to just relax and read a good novel.
