About Me

Hello. Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

I graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and then completed my orthopedic residency training at UCLA, where I was selected for a faculty position during my orthopedic sports medicine fellowship. I am a clinical professor of Orthopedic Surgery at UC Irvine. I’m also the chief innovations and transformation officer for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California, which means I lead a team of extremely motivated people who are passionate about developing ways to improve the quality of care and service for our members. I’ve also served as the local and regional chief of orthopedic surgery and assistant area medical director.

About my practice

I specialize in orthopedic surgery with a subspecialty in sports medicine and arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder. As a specialist in orthopedic sports medicine, treating athletes of all skill levels and abilities provides me with a great sense of satisfaction. I have thoroughly enjoyed my orthopedic practice for over 20 years. Every interaction I’ve had with my members has provided me with a unique opportunity to learn about someone and help them recover from their ailments. Enabling my members to be physically active and to return to their respective sports is a source of joy for me. I’ve had the privilege to care for athletes of all levels, from juniors to professionals to masters.

How I thrive

Exercise is a key ingredient to healthy living and is an essential part of my life. I remain very active in the outdoors, engaging in beach volleyball, golf, general fitness, and martial arts. If you need my help, my team and I will do what we can to keep you active in your sports.
