Where I practice
I was born and raised in South Florida and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in Exercise Physiology. I received my medical degree from Ross University and completed my residency as well as Fellowship at Georgia Health Sciences University. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2011 and chose Colorado, as I had previously lived in Estes Park as well as Denver prior to medical school. I chose to practice medicine as I felt it was the most rewarding and challenging field to pursue. I always thought it was the only thing to do, and still feel that way. I have a beautiful, lovely wife and two little princesses.
About my practice
My practice philosophy involves taking care of patients and developing long-term relationships with them. I believe in patients taking responsibility for their health, and being active participants in their care. A Rheumatologist is trained in diagnosing and treating complex cases that are Systemic, or can involve every organ system. Examples of these include; Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Vasculitis, Inflammatory Arthritis (RA and Psoriatic Arthritis), and other Collagen Vascular diseases. My job is to provide the best possible care in terms of efficacy and safety. My home office is Rock Creek Medical Offices. Additionally, I see patients at the Edwards Medical Offices.
How I thrive
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a passion for many activities including; skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, running (trail and road), rock climbing, snowboarding, and playing tennis. I enjoy teaching my children all of these great outdoor activities and watching them thrive. I try to always maintain a sense of humor as I believe it is important spiritually as well as physically.
