Where I practice
I grew up near Columbus, Ohio, and went to The Ohio State University for medical school. I am a lifelong Buckeye fan (O-H-I-O!). I moved to Colorado for the sunshine and the family medicine residency program at Saint Joseph Hospital in 2002. My husband and I are lucky enough to live and raise our son and daughter here. Our dog, Rico, and six chickens complete our family. I spent many years traveling all over the world and appreciate the different perspectives I have gained thanks to these enlightening experiences.
About my practice
I am very happy to care for patients of all ages, from newborn visits and well child care to teen counseling and all stages of adulthood to geriatrics. I really enjoy getting to know multiple generations of a family as that gives me a greater insight into the whole person. I consider myself patient-focused. My job is to be there to support you in times of challenge and/or illness and proactively prevent disease. I share with you knowledge and advice to help you make lifestyle changes and health care decisions. If you need extra time for whatever reason, I do my best to listen and give you that time and attention. Most patients are very understanding if that happens to cause wait time, and they know I will always be there for them if and when they would need that support in the future. I see patients three days per week, usually Monday/Wednesday/Friday, and have a great support team to assist my patients at all times. I interact with many of my patients by scheduled phone appointments and email.
How I thrive
I enjoy time with my family visiting Ohio and my siblings in the Philadelphia area. I love to be outside, walking, hiking and snowboarding. I have become a big Pilates fan and take classes twice a week.
