We know quitting tobacco can be difficult to do. That's why we offer a range of proven approaches to help you.

There are many methods available — we'll help you find the one that works best for you.

Telephone Counseling Program


Ready to quit tobacco, but want to do it from the comfort of home? If so, our phone counseling service may be right for you. You'll connect with a trained Kaiser Permanente counselor who will guide and support you through the quitting process.

This program is free of charge for Kaiser Permanente members.

Hawaii Tobacco Quitline

1-800-784-8669 (1-800-QUIT-NOW) (toll free)

The Hawaii Tobacco Quitline is a free service for anyone who lives in Hawaii. The service is available 24 hours a day with Quit Coach counseling available 3 a.m. to 9 p.m., 7 days a week. The program offers 4 telephone coaching sessions of 30 minutes each.

There is no charge for Kaiser Permanente members.

Health classes

Learn a variety of techniques to help you become smoke-free. Browse our health classes directory or call 808-643-4622 to find out what's available in your area. Monthly smoking cessation classes are available on Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii.

Pharmacy benefit

You may be eligible to receive tobacco cessation medications at no cost with a prescription from your doctor.
