Welcome to my Web page. I am a physician in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
My father was a general surgeon and my inspiration for becoming a physician. I was born and raised in Florida, but I decided to do my residency in Chicago so I could experience the cold weather and change of seasons. It was too cold, so I found my way to Southern California, where the sunny days suit my personality. My husband and I enjoy living in San Diego, where we can ride horses, hike, and garden all year round.
I came to Kaiser Permanente in 1990, after practicing privately for five years. In our department, we work together as a team to help ensure you have high-quality routine care, as well as emergency gynecologic and obstetrical care. I love to educate my patients about their bodies and ways to take care of the body, mind, and spirit. To keep well in this very busy world, we must start with proper habits in our daily lives. During my visit with you, I like to review your diet, amount and type of exercise, and attitudes. Lets go back to the basics and take care of ourselves!
I believe that making smart lifestyle choices are the best way to help stay healthy. We all need to fit exercise in our daily lives, whether parking in the back lot to walk further to work or taking the stairs. Cutting out fast foods, preparing more food from scratch, and eating simpler fare is the way to go. I also suggest taking time every day to relax and meditate or enjoy the company of friends or family. Eating meals with your family and starting a conversation with them about anything is another great way to thrive.
