Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I am a native Southern Californian who received care from Kaiser Permanente when I worked as an electrical engineer for the Bechtel Corporation. After medical school, my clinical training involved rotations at Kaiser Permanente hospitals. I also completed an additional year of specialty fellowship training in orthopedic surgery. This exposure to the practice of medicine at Kaiser Permanente helped in my decision to accept a position in San Diego. I have now been caring for our members for more than 20 years.
About my practice
Although my home office is at the El Cajon Medical Offices, I perform surgery at several Kaiser Permanente and community hospitals in the San Diego County. Our department has a dedicated group of orthopedic surgeons who provide surgical care to trauma-related injuries. I have been a member of this team since 1999, so many of my patients have come from the emergency room rather than the clinic.
How I thrive
I relax by working on landscaping, home construction projects, and car restoration. It seems I fix things even when I'm not at work.
