Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page! Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. I am a dedicated and compassionate pediatrician who has had the privilege of caring for children at Kaiser Permanente since 2010. I believe it is important to find the right fit when looking for a pediatrician. I hope this information is helpful and I look forward to meeting you and your family.
My path to medicine was not a traditional one. I initially studied art in college and established a career as an advertising executive. Then life changed. My first son was critically ill at birth and spent the first 32 days of his life in the neonatal intensive care unit. Then three years later, it happened again. My second son was also critically ill and spent the first ten days of life in the NICU. Having had this experience twice, I was in awe, grateful and inspired by the physicians and medical team dedicated to caring for my sons. It was then that I had an epiphany: I wanted to give back and dedicate my life to caring for children. While raising my family, I persevered through pre-med studies, medical school and residency to become a pediatrician. I am board certified through The American Board of Pediatrics and The American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics.
About my practice
I am one of five pediatricians at Kaiser Permanente Harbor-MacArthur Medical Offices. We have an excellent team and staff and are dedicated to providing you and your children with the very best care in a child oriented, nurturing environment. I am also a member of the Hospital Nursery Team. Every child and family dynamic is unique. My goal is to partner with you, through open communication, as you navigate the most important job of your life—raising your child. I believe in caring for the "whole child". This includes well childcare, developmental milestones, preventative medicine, sick care, and educational, psychological, social, behavioral monitoring. The bottom line is, I love taking care of children. It would be my pleasure and privilege to be a part of your child's life.
How I thrive
I believe in living life to the fullest with gratitude, mindfulness and non-judgment. I find balance in life by always remembering the most important thing, family and friends. I strive for health by trying to eat a well balanced diet, walks that sometimes turn into hikes and my daily yoga, meditation practice. I enjoy great food, travel, art, reading, film and music, especially if it's something new!
