About me
Welcome! My name is Susan Carré, and I am a family physician at Kaiser Permanente’s East Los Angeles Medical Offices. I appreciate your interest in my biography.
Biography
I am originally from Northern California. I earned my medical degree from Stanford University and completed my residency training at the O’Connor Hospital Family Medicine program, which is associated with Stanford University. I am married, and I have 2 children with whom I like to go to the movies, play scrimmage soccer (although I’m not very good), and cook.
About my practice
I chose to become a family physician because I enjoy the full spectrum of medicine, from infants to elderly members, from acute to complex chronic ailments as well ambulatory procedures. I am keen on knowing members’ social situations and understand how these factors may negatively impact their health. I promote health by encouraging members to involve themselves in healthy activities, as well taking advantage of our Health Education office to learn proven methods of accomplishing their goal—feeling well!
How I thrive
I try to live by example. For years, I have been encouraging healthy living through work-life balance. Even while having a full-time job, much of my time is taken with raising my children, attending school activities, and staying current with new medical literature. Through prioritization and personal organization, I have now found my means: I am training for a half marathon, eventually to attempt a marathon. I have achieved my work-life balance by keeping my health on the top of my priority list.
