Where I practice
Hello! I am glad to have the opportunity to share with you some information regarding my credentials and experiences.
I grew up in China and came to Los Angeles after completing medical school and residency training in radiation oncology. Besides a medical degree, I earned my PhD in pharmaceutical science at USC, where I spent time doing research in drug metabolism and impact from genetic mutations. I believe every member is unique and that treatment for diseases, especially cancer, should be individualized based on each member’s clinical and genetic characteristics. My desire for personalized medicine has led me to pursue the residency training in internal medicine at USC, followed by specialty training in hematology/oncology at the UC San Diego.
About my practice
It is a privilege to practice medicine, especially oncology, which provides a unique opportunity to help members in challenging situations. I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care. Together with our wonderful oncology colleagues, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and assistants, we are dedicated to providing members with high-quality care, to helping them understand their diseases and navigate through treatment decisions, and to supporting them during the uphill battle fighting against cancer. I really love my job, where I feel rewarded to be able to help others in such profound ways.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I love to travel, ski, hike, exercise, and spend time with my boys and family. We recently visited Mount Everest base camp and summited Mount Whitney. Our next destination will be Mount Kilimanjaro, and let me know if you have any advice.
