Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician and as a physician administrator at Kaiser Permanente. I am an emergency medicine physician and have practiced for more than 30 years at Kaiser Permanente. I have been chief of the department of emergency medicine in Orange County since 1984. In my roles as both a clinician and an administrator, I strive to make our members' visits as satisfying as possible.
I was born and raised in Southern California. I attended the University of California both as an undergraduate and in medical school. I am a second-generation physician. I selected medicine as a career because it is a way of working in a scientific field and helping people on a daily basis.
About my practice
Emergency medicine is a team practice. Doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and other medical professionals all work together to provide timely diagnosis and treatment for our patients. We are here for you 25 hours a day, 8 days a week.
How I thrive
Keeping a balanced life is important for everyone, though admittedly a challenge in today's world. Time spent with family and friends recharges me. A little exercise in the form of weight lifting and mountain biking help keep me fit physically.
