Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I moved from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles for my orthopedic surgery residency at the USC. I joined Kaiser Permanente when I finished my residency in 1987 and couldn't be happier with my career choice. I love being an orthopedic surgeon, and I look forward to coming to work every day.
I have a very busy practice that mainly focuses on the orthopedic problems of the elderly. I'm very active in research on osteoporosis management as well as on arthritis management. I have been very active in developing the new Kaiser Permanente electronic medical record that integrates your clinical record with appointments, registration, and billing. I strongly believe that this new system will greatly improve your care at Kaiser Permanente.
I believe that a balanced life is crucial to your health. I swim, exercise, and walk daily-and my two dogs really encourage me to do the daily walks. I try to windsurf and scuba dive as often as I can.
