About me

Welcome to my physician Web page! I feel very fortunate to be part of this fully integrated health care delivery system, and I am glad to have the opportunity to be part of your care experience. Thanks for visiting!

Biography

I am a native Southern Californian and have been a member of Kaiser Permanente since birth (I was born at our Sunset facility in Los Angeles.) I have known since I was a young boy that I wanted to make a difference by becoming a physician. I had a great undergraduate education in San Francisco and then went on to medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico. I had an incredibly wonderful experience in Mexico, with its rich culture and beautiful people. My passion is the practice of family medicine. I live in Yorba Linda with my wife, daughter, and my son who has Down syndrome.

About my practice

Presently, my main role in our program is serving as the medical director of business management for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, an administrative position for the region. I also continue to see patients and their families at my family medicine and geriatric medicine practice at the Riverside Medical Center as time allows. My clinical work is a very important aspect of my career life. It is clearly one of the most rewarding things that I do.

How I thrive

To be healthy is to live life in a balanced fashion. My family, my church, and my close friends are a wonderful blessing, and I am motivated to keep all things in balance.
