Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page, and thank you for visiting. I have been practicing long-term care medicine (geriatrics, nursing home, hospice, and home health) at Kaiser Permanente Fontana for four years now. I hope this brief introduction will serve to develop a long-lasting relationship for many years to come. I will strive my best to offer you and your family the best in health care Kaiser Permanente can offer.
I am proud to call myself a "Kaiser baby." I was born at Kaiser Permanente Bellflower and my father worked for Kaiser Steel. More recently, my first son was born at Kaiser Permanente! I am honored to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family and to continue this legacy of tradition. I have always wanted to be a physician, even as a small child, and am grateful for the opportunity Kaiser Permanente gave me to practice medicine. I volunteer annually for the Boy Scouts of America and at Community Health Fairs. I enjoy the outdoors and traveling. I enjoy fitness, yoga, and collecting stamps.
About my practice
I practice at a Kaiser Permanente -contracted Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). I primarily take care of Kaiser members that are in need of continuing care for physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies. Most of our members are elderly and have suffered an acute medical event resulting in the need for temporary rehabilitation services (generally 2 to 4 weeks). I also care for our members that need custodial care and are ready to call the SNF their new home. Lastly, I visit our members who have been unfortunately diagnosed with an terminal illness and have been placed on hospice care. In all settings, I work with an interdisciplinary group, consisting of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dieticians, physical/occupational/speech therapists, social workers, and case managers. This results in a carefully managed care plan that accounts for the member's wishes and his or her family's wishes.
How I thrive
I share the vision of total health firmly. I believe in making sure that the mind and body relationship is optimal. I enjoy outdoor activities, fitness, reading, art, and history. I use my personal time to share the spirit of life and all that nature has to offer. My goal is to thrive for life!
