Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients. Referral may be required.
I want to welcome you to my Web page. I am one of the regional specialists in the care of patients with head and neck cancer and airway problems. These problems can be very difficult to deal with, but my team and I will try to give you the best care possible. I look forward to meeting you.
I come to Kaiser Permanente from an academic background. After I left residency, I taught for seven years at the University of New Mexico. There I taught head and neck surgery and the management of head and neck cancer. When I decided to leave, I looked for a place that would allow me to practice medicine of the highest quality possible. I have found it here at Kaiser Permanente.
My specialties are head and neck cancer and airway management. In order to care for these complex problems and work with patients who need a high level of care, I need to have the best team possible to work with. My practice would not be possible without the superb assistance of the physicians in my department.
I firmly believe that exercise is an important component to getting well, healing from surgery, and staying well. Most of my patients will tell you that I think there are few problems that cannot be improved with exercise and ibuprofen. My favorite activity is fencing. This helps me to stay fit and mentally sharp and to relax after working hard in the office. However, in order to stay in shape for fencing, I have to run, lift weights, and stretch. I like to share my enthusiasm about my interests with my patients, friends, and coworkers.
