Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. Here you’ll find a little information about me and my family, my pediatric practice, and my personal approach to health. I hope this little insight about me will make it easier for us to communicate and enrich your Kaiser Permanente health care experience.
I was born and raised in the Philippines. After finishing medical school, I came to the United States to pursue my pediatrics residency training in New York and California. Working with children has been very fulfilling. Their cute smiles, innocent remarks and comments, and even their cries motivate me to give them my professional best. I’m married and have two adult children. When I’m not working, my life is pretty low-key. Usually that involves having dinner or watching a movie with my husband, going to church, and talking to my kids by phone since they no longer live at home.
About my practice
In my practice, I see children who range in age from newborn to teens. Every age group has their unique health issues, but one thing I strongly recommend for every pediatric member is to be current in their immunizations, which I think is the foundation of pediatric health. I encourage parents to come into our office with their children to update their immunizations. Please do not hesitate to contact me, or anyone on our pediatric team, with any questions. As an advocate for children, I’ve realized that the success of the delivery of pediatric health relies on open communication with parents—since they are the ones who best know their children.
How I thrive
I subscribe to the principles of preventive medicine. Personally, I like to exercise, eat moderately, get as much sleep as my schedule allows, and have regular checkups. Currently, my exercise routine involves practicing Pilates, and lots of walking—either outdoors or on the treadmill. I also believe in enriching the mind and spirit to achieve good health, whether it’s through religion or any spiritual belief. By doing this, the mind and body will work more effectively as one.
