About me

Welcome to my Web page. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the parents and guardians of the children in my practice. I feel very fortunate to have gotten to know and serve many wonderful parents, children, and adolescents during my more than 30 years at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. Because I believe it’s very important that you feel comfortable with your personal pediatrician, I hope this page will help you in getting to know me.

Biography

I’m a native Southern Californian who grew up in one of the suburbs of Los Angeles. I come from a large Hispanic family. I completed my undergraduate education at UC Irvine. It was during my medical school and residency training at UC San Diego, that I realized San Diego would be a great place to live and raise a family. I’m happily married and have three wonderful sons who have grown into fine men. During my teen years, I became interested in a career in medicine. I’ve always enjoyed helping others. Like many of my colleagues, I also wanted to have a positive influence on people's lives. Medicine has afforded me such an opportunity.

About my practice

You are probably interested in learning a little about my practice. As a general pediatrician, I share in your desire to keep your children and adolescents healthy. I will be available when they are ill or injured. In addition, I will make a genuine effort to provide them, and you, with appropriate and up-to-date preventive care and health advice. Because I am driven by a strong work ethic, I will be available when the need arises. At our Clairemont Mesa Medical Offices, I’m proud to work alongside three other equally dedicated and well-trained general pediatricians. We often help each other and collaborate on cases. When I’m not in the office, I’m confident you will be pleased with their medical knowledge, pediatric expertise, and bedside manner. I would be remiss in not mentioning the fine support staff you will meet in my office. As a team, we are committed to providing you with professional, caring, and quality service.

How I thrive

Each and every day, I make an honest effort to maintain a healthy mind, body, and outlook on life. I value quality time with my family and friends. I also make an effort to set aside some time for myself for personal reflection and exercise. In closing, I look forward to meeting you and your child or adolescent. It would be a privilege to serve as your pediatrician. My hobbies are simple ones, but nevertheless enjoyable and gratifying. They include woodworking, exercising, and gardening.
